hello from romania! am i the first one here?!
well... i want to share with you something nice from my country, something i'm very fond of. here it is: a romanian newspaper, namely "cotidianul" (that means "the daily newspaper"... almost...), brings on the market, for its readers, each and every wednesday, a collection book, such as "saving private ryan", and everything costs 4 romanian lei (RON), that is about 1,22 euros; sounds nice, isn't it?!
but there's more: next week, on monday, may 7th, it brings up a new offer - the "enciclopedica" collection, that is a "decouvertes gallimard" series; first item: "da vinci. the art and science of the universe"; the monday after - "egypt. the forgotten land" and so on... the price: 3,04 euros (with the support of some romanian investors, of course)! it's said that in france or on amazon.com, they trade it for 8 to 14 euros, each number.
i think we're rather fortunate, here. isn't it a great initiative? it seems like they do something for "culturizing" the masses, after all. anyway, i'm a huge fan of it!
